History
The Aurelia represented the first truly new Italian automotive product of the post-war period. The first post-war Lancia was the Aurelia designed by Vittorio Jano and appeared in 1950. It had some revolutionary technical innovations: the first V6 engine with a 60° V as standard and 1.8 liters, independent four-wheel suspension, inboard rear brakes and the transaxle clutch-gearbox-differential. In 1952, a new version of the sedan was added: the B22. The B22 was also designed for participation in races in the turismo category. The standard version had 90hp. The B22 had an elegant and luxurious body, and had a maximum speed of 160 km/h.
